PM Modi launched the world’s largest health scheme. Of course it is a health scheme but, it has also created employment. Under the Ayushman Yojana, the central government aimed to create about 10 lakh jobs in five years. More than one lakh Ayushman Mitra were directly posted in government and private hospitals. These Ayushman friends were given good salary along with other facilities. There is still a chance, if one joins this scheme and becomes an Ayushman Mitra, he can get a benefit of up to 15 thousand rupees in a month. What will Ayushmann Mitra do?
It is his responsibility to provide all the information related to Ayushman Mitra Yojana to the beneficiaries. They are posted in hospitals affiliated to Ayushman Yojana. Apart from informing the beneficiaries whether they are eligible or not. Ayushman Mitra is also responsible for creating Ayushman Card. Ayushmann Mitra has been appointed on a 12-month contract. However, it can be extended further. 15 thousand rupees will be given to Ayushman friends every month. Apart from this, they also get an incentive of Rs 50 per patient.
How is Ayushman Mitra appointed?
Ayushman Mitra is recruited at every district level. They are appointed by the district level agency. After selection they are trained. The responsibility for training lies with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, which trains Ayushman Mitra at the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Kendras in collaboration with the National Health Agency.
What does it take to be Ayushmann’s Mitra?
Applicant should be 12th pass.
Must have knowledge of computer and internet.
Must have completed Ayushman Mitra Training Course.
Knowledge of local language is essential.
Applicants should not be more than 32 years of age.
Women candidates are given preference in the appointment of Ayushman Mitra.
Features of the scheme :
This is the largest scheme offering health insurance of 5 lakhs.
The central and state governments jointly fund the scheme.
More than 50 crore people will benefit from it. It is opened to every citizen of the country.
Apart from hospitalization, the cost up to 5 lakh covers necessary tests, medicines, pre-hospitalization expenses and till completion of treatment.
Ayushman card is required to avail the benefits of Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
Ayushman Card can be created through Aadhaar Card, Water ID Card or Ration Card.
All hospitals affiliated to the insurance scheme will have an Ayushman Mitra to help people.
