Railway examinations have started and RRB has informed about some changes that have been made in the method of normalization of marks. The method of generalization formula is the implementation in examinations that take place in more than one shift.
It is a statistically based rule, which takes into account the difficulty level of the various shift papers of the exam. Examinations for Railway Examination and other posts including NTPC, GR-D will also be in several sessions as the number of candidates applied is about 2.5 crore. In the first phase of computer-based examination, in the second phase of computer-based examination, for some seventh CPC levels and for various other tests, examinations can be taken in more than one session. For these exams, which are held in more than one session, the appropriate method for generalization is used depending on the difficulty level of different papers. The marks of the candidates in all the sessions, the average of the marks obtained by the above 0.1 percent of the candidates in the shift in which the candidates appeared for the examination, and the sum of S.D.
